Job Description

SYSTEMS ANALYST

Dallas, TX

Direct Hire | Base + Bonus

ICS is hiring a Systems Analyst for our Client in the Downtown, Dallas area! Our ideal candidate has a strong background in server administration and will be able to make informed decisions and requests for the IT infrastructure team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Provide functional support to the company functions and those platforms used throughout operations.

Provide support for various applications including configuration and enhancement requests from the user community and company management.

Install, support, and administer software and/or custom applications.

Implement configuration changes, redesigns, new releases and updates to the systems environment in an effort to optimize the use of Information Technology.

Manage small to medium projects on an local operational level.

Provide support for local operational level application support (troubleshooting, testing and upgrades).

Provide server administration duties including configuration and maintenance of Windows Server.

Provide preventative maintenance, including server monitoring, applying and testing patches, and checking for resource limitations.

Oversee server issue resolution, analyzing and providing solutions for Operating System and Database Hardware issues.

Analyze and evaluate current interface configuration, user requirements, and optimizes server topologies.

Recommend add-on technologies and customizations to Company software systems to provide efficiencies to business operations.

Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation and provide training (i.e., work procedures, how to guides).

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field is preferred.

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

A minimum of 3 years of job-related experience is required.

Certifications: Microsoft and Cisco certifications (MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, MCP); Network, and software certifications (A+, N+, NET+) are preferred (ITIL Foundation).

Intermediate knowledge of applications systems and ability to apply this knowledge.

Intermediate working knowledge of information systems concepts/design/development, systems development life cycle, recovery techniques, performance monitoring and tuning; decision-making, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Conceptual and data analysis skills, advanced reading skills, the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations, intermediate reading and writing skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and
verbal communication.

Ability to lead to lead projects as required.
