Job Description

Telecom Engineer

Position Purpose: Work with Senior Engineers to deliver top tier Global Telecom infrastructure and help lead the global Telecommunications team.

This includes partnering to drive the establishment and management of our client's Telecommunication infrastructure.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Provide Cisco Unified Communications technology expertise and associated technical support, evaluating and resolving complex technical issues related to the voice network.

Provide direction, guidance, vision and support in leading the day to day operations.

Ability to build strong relationships with other firm wide leaders, manage priorities, respond to urgent changing needs, and ensure development of associates is a priority.

Ownership of the design and implementation of Cisco WebEX, Jabber, MS Teams and collaboration tools.

This will include setting up and managing the buildout and support of the conference rooms throughout the firm.

Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of IP Telephony infrastructure and application components.

Work as an engineer for the Telecom group and have the ability to help architect solutions that are based on global industry standards.

Ensuring overall technical capabilities, stability and performance with Cisco Call Manager. Provide direction, recommendations, design and implementation for VoIP enhancements.

Create and maintain all necessary technical documentation. Ensure all work activity is accurately documented in our tracking systems.

Create and adhere to the design, programming and application standards. Including compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Provide functional direction and/or guidance to assist with development of team members.

Develop preventative maintenance programs, disaster recovery plans and redundancy plans. Maintain and test these plans regularly.

Ownership of issues through to resolution

Should be able to participate in the on-call rotation

Participate in the design and maintenance of monitoring programs to connect domestic offices to a broader culture

Delivered exceptional service by increasing performance

Ability to lead project teams to achieve project objectives. Assumes familiarity with project management tools and methodologies

Job Requirements:

5+ years global Telecom experience industry experience.

3+ years working with Global Telecom carriers.

5+ years managing and designing Cisco CUCM,.

2+ WebEx and collaboration tool.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.

Detail oriented individual capable of working both independently and within a team.

Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills

Ability to manage multiple projects/activities concurrently

Willing to own project from start to finish.

Physical requirements/Working conditions:

Climate controlled office environment

Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials

Dynamic, time-sensitive environment

Travel as required
