Job Description

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Nashville, TN

6+ month contract to hire

ICS is immediately hiring for an Oracle Database Administrator in Nashville, TN.

The Oracle DBA will administer and maintain the security and integrity of the databases, in addition to providing incident management and problem support.

The Oracle DBA will also work on a small team, responsible for database capacity issues, replication and overall performance issues.

What You’ll Do:

Configure, maintain and support databases in an enterprise operations environment per application instruction or requirements.

Analyze and define database and security requirements.

Develop database queries and apply patches in test and patch environment.

Support Oracle Golden Gate Data replication.

Ensure system performance, comprehend the platform on which the database runs, and add new users to the system.

Applies best practice for tuning SQL and PL/SQL for overall system performance.

Support software development and test teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Help define back-up & recovery strategy.

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or another related field is preferred

5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience

1+ years of experience with Oracle 18c preferred

Experience with Golden Gate is highly preferred

Experience with Oracle ODA (Oracle Database Appliance) is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to provide after hours support on rotation, as needed
