Messaging Engineer - Cloud Operations

We are looking for a Messaging Engineer who can work independently but also provide escalated support to the service desk. the Messaging Engineer will be reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Cloud Operational Engineering.

The Microsoft & Messaging Engineer will manage, implement, and support Microsoft and Messaging technologies.

This individual will work with the architecture, engineering, operations, and support teams to create and maintain standards, deploy new solutions, administer, automate and support Microsoft and Messaging technologies (including Active Directory, Office365, Exchange, MIM, Enterprise Vault etc.).

Responsibilities:

Participate in efforts to deploy new and optimize existing solutions, automate, create standards, and govern the Microsoft and Messaging technologies, including but not limited to Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange, Group Policy, and Microsoft Identity Management (MIM).

Support eDiscovery tools and assist in eDiscovery efforts for legal cases

Employ a cloud-native mentality in developing new solutions for Active Directory, DNS and other technologies

Develop PowerShell scripts for administrative and automation tasks

Assist with migration projects to O365 cloud and decommissioning of on-premise systems

Drive the execution of Microsoft RAPs and lead the optimization and clean-up efforts per findings

Act as a senior support resource for all Microsoft and Messaging matters when required

Maintain a working knowledge of their field, advises peers and management of industry trends, new products and innovations

Qualifications:

Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities

Robust background in Microsoft Technologies (O365, Active Directory, Exchange, MIM, Azure, etc.)

Strong PowerShell scripting skills and experience

Experience with journaling and eDiscovery tools (Enterprise Vault preferred)

Extensive experience in Office 365 migrations and familiarity with operating Exchange platform

Understanding of onboarding new applications in to an ADFS/Azure AD environment

Experience with Group Policy Management, knowledge of Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) preferred

Ability to partner with and collaboratively drive accountability with vendors and our internal teams

Strong leadership skills with ability to see projects and initiatives through to completion, and teach others

Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify new opportunities and technical methods to solve business problems

Microsoft of other industry certifications preferred

Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field preferred. In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, an applicable amount of relevant work experience will be considered
