Information Security Engineer

Immediate opening for an Information Security Engineer to assist the CISO in hte development, management and optimization of the Information Security Program.

Job Duties:

Provide information security/cybersecurity technical expertise and support in the Information Security Program’s strategic initiatives and objectives, along with support to the CISO for the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan, including:

- Security systems/software configuration, deployment, and administration

- Monitoring technical IT/IS controls and assisting with control reviews

- Troubleshooting escalated helpdesk tickets and/or user issues

- Monitoring existing and emerging external/internal threats

- Assisting with information security incidents and/or events

- Remediating security and/or vulnerability findings

- Review and update as needed, the Information Security Program Policy and corresponding Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan, and related procedures.

- Develop and prepare periodic reporting to the CISO that can be used to inform senior management on the effectiveness of the Information Security Program and the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan, including risk assessments, Program effectiveness and incident response reports and associated mitigation plans.

- At the direction of the CISO, develop risk management service level agreements and key risk indicators.

Additional Duties:

- Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, work quality, attendance, appearance, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management

- Adheres to all internal policies, procedures, and safety regulations, as well as local, state and federal laws

- Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on Information Security, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Consumer Privacy and GLBA, BSA/AML/CIP, Regulation CC, Bank Protection Act, and FACT-Identity Theft..

- Additional duties as assigned as it relates to the position

Qualifications:

- Must have 4+ years of experience as an Information Security Analyst, Information Security Administrator, Information Security Engineer, or similar role

- Advanced knowledge of information security frameworks (ISO, NIST, OWASP, etc.) is a plus

- Advanced experience implementing information security systems and/or software is a plus

- Advanced experience with incident response systems and processes (IDS/IPS monitoring, reporting) is a plus

- Experience with network security and/or firewall configuration and management is a plus

- Experience with internal/external vulnerability management systems and processes, including patching is a plus

- Experience with security hardening of systems/devices, as well as anti-virus management is a plus

- Experience with data loss prevention systems and processes, as well as mobile device management is a plus

- Experience trouble-shooting technical information security and/or IT-security related issues is a plus

- Must have excellent strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management effectively

- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or information security related certification(s) is a plus

- Experience with SDLC, data governance, and/or data privacy (CCPA) is a plus

- Experience with business continuity and/or disaster recovery is a plus

- Experience with automating security tools and/or software is a plus

- Experience with information security-related assessments is a plus

- Experience in fintech and/or banking is a plus
