Job Description:A solution architect is responsible for the design of one or more applications or services within an organization and is typically part of a solution development team. He or she must have a balanced mix of technical and business skills and will often work with an enterprise architect for strategic direction. The main focus is on the technical decisions being made regarding the solution and how they impact the business outcomes. The rest of the development team will then use the information to implement the solution.A solutions architect needs significant people and process skills. They are often in front of management, trying to explain a complex problem in laymen's terms. They have to find ways to say the same thing using different words for different types of audiences, and they also need to really understand the business' processes in order to create a cohesive vision of a usable productDepth understanding of Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS, specifically:App Services, Azure SQL Database, SQL Server IaaS implementation, Availability sets, Azure Networking concepts, Express Route, DNS, Load Balancing, StorageKnowledge about the challenges and considerations to be catered for while migrating applications from on-premise to Azure. Technology architecture which meet HA, DR, Availability, RPO & RTO requirements of the applicationMigrating applications to Cloud using Tools like AppZero, ASR etc will be nice to have.Fundamental knowledge of AWS is desirable and understanding on how Azure IaaS v/s AWS IaaS compares to each other and conceptual knowledge of AWS RDS is desired.Soft Skills such as writing Proposals and Presenting up to C-Levels is a mustMicrosoft Azure certification desirableIn addition to above, perform following functions on cloud:application architecture (web, Jboss, database)containerizationAzure functionsdatabase construction
