Senior Manager, Digital Development

Direct Hire Opportunity

St. Paul, MN (Remote to Start)

Position Overview:

Partner with the Digital Product Owner to own the Design, Plan, Build, and Support of one or more products in the Portfolio.

Responsible for product delivery, maintenance, and escalated technical support across one or more products within Portfolio

Ensure adoption and compliance with established Reference Architecture standards and policies

Plan and support vendor management activities vendor assurance, procurement, invoice approvals

Coordinate with DevOps, Architecture, InfoSec and other internal teams

Partner with the Development Leads and Architects in the creation of architecture artifacts for products within the portfolio including Infrastructure Architecture) and Solution Design

Drive the definition, communication, and adoption of development patterns and practices across product teams within portfolio

Accountable for all technical aspects of the product(s) including producing technical documentation/diagrams that depicting the larger ecosystem of products supporting the SSL portfolio

Responsible for creating and maintaining the technical roadmap for the ecosystem of products supporting the portfolio

Oversee the UI development team and maintain/enhance current UI architecture to improve usability, performance, and scalability

Has direct responsibility for supervising personnel, (i.e., sets goals, assigns work, reviews performance, and conducts career development discussions)

Position Requirements:

10+ years of IT experience

8+ years of hands-on experience leading digital development teams applying agile/lean practices

5+ years of experience in software development across multiple platforms especially including ecommerce/transactional site and applications across a range of devices

Expertise in web applications and programming languages including HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and APIs

Experience with PHP and/or JAVA

Experience working with web libraries and frameworks such as React, Bootstrap, Angular, Polymer, Closure or Backbone

Experience working with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques

Experience developing digital software engineering best practices

Experience working with distributed systems and web services technology

Experience working with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design

Experience working with REST and RPC service patterns and other client/server interaction models

Experience managing vendors and service providers in order to meet business and company goals

Experience managing global teams, onshore, remote and offshore teams to work towards development best practices

Experience in technical design development and review, with the ability to provide insight, guidance and review at all levels from architecture to design and code.

Experience in development using the Microsoft .NET platform, Microsoft Power platform and responsive
UI technologies

Experience building Cloud-native solutions (MS Azure preferred)

Experience with Sitecore development

Product Management experience a plus

Exposure to project management principles and methodology preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated results in delivering excellent technical designs

Proven track record demonstrating collaboration with UX researchers and designers, marketers, merchandisers, product managers and front-end developers
