Job Description

Java developer with proven experience building enterprise systems and collaborating with multiple teams

Develops enterprise solutions for business customers

Designs, develops, tests, debugs, maintains and documents software systems, components, and utilities

Performs complex maintenance and problem resolution on software application

Collaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applications

Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development and quality of software

Participates in sprint and release planning

Develops time estimates for project deliverables

Assists in problem resolution, during daily and monthly production cycles

Assists customers and team members in issue resolution and problem solving

Participates in code reviews and status meetings

Develop unit test cases for testing changes

Support testing activities and resolve issues identified

Promotes Agile Scrum development methodology

Work within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver software

Work across the organization to provide business process or design recommendations consistent with long-term business and IT strategy

Qualifications

Required: 3+ years of Configuration and Integration Development project experience in Guidewire Billing Center
version 7.0 or higher

3+ years' experience with software development of Java applications

3+ years' experience with J2EE framework

3+ years knowledge of object-oriented concepts

3+ years' experience with RDMS such as Oracle or SQL Server and integrations of the database with Java applications

3+ years' experience developing REST and/or SOAP webservices

3+ years' experience with Java IDE such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA

General knowledge of middleware and service bus layers, red hat enterprise Linux, UC4/Automic or other enterprise scheduling application

Experience using Agile Management Tool such as Rally, Octane, JIRA

Agile Scrum development methodology experience

Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization

A true passion for new technology
