Job Description
We are seeking a hands on architect to lead architecture and implementation of low latency and high throughput trading applications in the cloud.
What You'll Do
Ensure technology decisions align with enterprise standards and strategy.
Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market.
Provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions.
Collaborating with peer architects seeing opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization.
Work closely with Product/Application teams in technology evaluation, selection, recommendation and configuration.
What You Bring to the Table
Deep hand-on experience in software development with Java, event driven paradigms, Spring
Framework/Spring Boot, and web application technologies in a service-focused architecture.
Deep knowledge of application platforms like Kafka, Redis, Containers
Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
Experience with cloud design patterns and containers is a plus.
Demonstrable ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in
developing strategic technical solutions.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective, trusting partnerships with product managers, architects and technical leads for individual products and applications.
Proven and comprehensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and new technologies.
Authoritative understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices.
Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
Financial industry experience is a plus.
Strong presentation skills; written and verbal communication including the ability to influence.
Deep knowledge of the agile development process and DevOps practices.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience in an architecture and/or software engineering role
