Job Description

We are looking for a passionate web editor to research, plan, co-ordinate and optimize day-to-day content performance on the website and mobile app, our primary channels to drive revenue.

This position works closely and collaboratively with Brand Strategy, Design, Marketing Analytics, Digital IT / UX and other teams to develop website content plans with the goal of delivering to business objectives and increasing revenue while upholding our clients brand.

The position merchandises our offering and produces new content in an interesting and appealing manner and maintains and enhances the content once it is live on the site.

The Web Editor is driven to produce results and delivers a high-quality product to internal stakeholders, excels under tight deadlines, strives to stay on the cutting edge of website design and technology, is resilient, and exhibits the companies values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun.

Essential Responsibilities

The Website editor will perform a range of duties to co-ordinate and oversee day to day digital merchandising efforts related to the following:

Managing and monitoring content performance

Key stakeholder in briefing website development and design

Co-ordinates production and publishing of new content

Liaises with marketing & brand teams members to decide on new content and align with broader marketing plan and activity

Creating schedules and agreeing deadlines

Conducts content audits and gap analyses to identify data-driven content creation opportunities.

Oversees layout (images, graphics, videos and artwork), style and presentation

Checks content for accuracy and plans the frequency with which it will need updating

Proofreads and edits material to ensure fit for purpose

Developing editorial policies, complies with copyright and privacy regulations, data protection and best practice.

Uploading and updating web pages in conjunction with IT in order to ensure ensuring robust user
experience and functionality

Conduct A/B tests in partnership with Marketing Analytics and other performance measures to optimize content, user experience and commercial performance

Reports on content performance in a manner that is meaningful and actionable.

A clear grasp for copy, typography, layout, photography and color for digital design

Self-sufficient in terms of time management and ideation

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Adapts quickly to brand voice and style.

Proactively contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere and company culture.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Five (5) years’ experience as a web editor, Experience in journalism, communications or related field desirable

Have experience designing responsively across mobile, tablet and desktop platforms

Experience writing and editing for websites.

Experienced in merchandising and storytelling

In-depth knowledge of SEO

Attention to detail;

Creative mind

Fluent in Sketch and Magnolia (xx)

Strong written and verbal communication required

Agile, adaptable and resilient, able to switch between planning and doing.

Strong understanding of website marketing and content marketing landscape.

Fluent in the Magnolia, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects)

Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and PowerPoint

Portfolio or work samples that demonstrate necessary skills

Available for moderate overnight travel (15%)

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Seven (7) plus years’ experience in a corporate design environment

Knowledge of Sketch, Magnolia (xx), and Adobe Creative Suite
