SENIOR ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

DALLAS, TX

ICS is looking for Senior Accounting Assistants to join our P&C Insurance client’s team in Dallas, TX! The ideal candidate will thrive in a small, fast-paced environment with experience with routine accounting functions, reconciliations and regulatory filings.

What You’ll Do:

Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, collections, finance, payroll or other financial department.

Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payment and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc.

Complete tasks for regulatory filings in compliance with states’ requirements

Contacts other departments, customers, and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.

Follows well-established routines to accomplish assignments such as sorting and filing accounting records and data, collecting simple information, posting minor records, compiling routine data, making and checking basic calculations, preparing and sorting mail, answering phones and simple typing.

Skills/Experience You’ll Need:

4+ years of clerical or administrative type work required within an Accounting and Finance department

Applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within assigned functional area.

P&C Insurance experience is highly preferred
