Job Description

What you will do:

Interface and work with Business Stakeholders and Product/Project Managers to understand the business and functional requirements and create Database Designs.

Design and implement modern data integration technologies by defining data integration flows (ETL, ELT, streams and events) and creating end-to-end Data flow pipelines supporting micro services-based architectures.

Provide direction, assistance and education to teams on the appropriate use of databases (relational, NoSQL, graph, etc.) and integration technologies (APIs, streams, events, message based processing)

Lead system availability, usability, performance and security database methodologies

Be a team player with ability to drive for win-win solutions across multiple competing interests, teams and priorities

What you will need:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline;

5+ years of architecture experience in building Relational Databases and dimensional data modelling.

Data compression, Partitioning, Column store index/table

Extensive SQL Tuning experience.

Thorough knowledge of RDMS Systems – especially Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience using OLTP / OLAP / Graph / NoSQL databases

To identify the appropriate use of semi-structured and telemetry data formats (including JSON, XML, Parquet)

Data warehouse (Cube) experience

Desired Skills

Related technical certifications

Healthcare experience

Ability to deploy and manage APIs (AWS API Gateway or similar)

Experience with Agile/Scrum

Experience in designing cloud architecture, specifically AWS (i.e., EC2, S3, Redshift)
