Job Description

Minimum 10+ years’ experience in ETL Informatica PowerCenter v10.1 and related tools.
Mandatory Skills

Sound concepts of Data warehousing and ETL
Design and develop ETL migration strategy, explore automated refactoring options, design ETL test strategy
Perform impact analyis of refactoring Informatica ETL the target from Teradada to Google Cloud Platform BQ
Architect, design refactoring methods for refactoring informatica ETL mapping from Teradata target to Google Cloud Platform BQ target.
Design, Scipt , Automate and implement the ETL target refactoring process for bulk migration and testing of ETLs.
Support informatica ETL deployment, DevOps,, repository management and support test automation
Analyze and Perform refactoring of Informatica ETL mapping for target from Teradada to Google Cloud Platform BQ
Test ETL for successful extraction, transformation and load
experience in designing, developing, deploying, testing Informatia PowerCenter ETL, PowerExchange etc.
Experience in distributed computing, DW Appliance databases like Teradata, Netezza required
Experience in refactoring and migration of ETL components for various source / target technologies
Ability to understand mapping document and translate the same to Informatica Mappings
Strong expertise and development project experience in informatica v10.1 and above Version
Good understanding of the commonly used transformations like Source qualifier, joiners, union, aggregator,
sorter, expressions, transaction control, xml transformation, lookups etc

Good understanding on the parameter file concepts and how they can leverage for good design and solutions.
Ability to debug production and UAT issues and good understanding of performance tuning techniques.
Ability to analyze, design, implement and test medium to complex mappings independently. Ability to design
and implement easily scalable ETL components.

Must be able to leverage Unix in cases where some requirements may not be easily achieved using informatica
Ability to create SCD jobs and fact load jobs.
Must have worked on Informatica on Unix and not on windows
Sound concepts of RDBMS
Create detail mapping documents.
Create module spec and unit test cases
Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication, coordination skills.
Skill in gathering and documenting user requirements and writing technical specifications
Good knowledge of SDLC for projects using DW concepts and Client/Server technologies.
Good knowledge of UNIX with ability to crease shell scripts for invocation of mappings and trap errors
Sound knowledge of SQL Programming (Good knowledge of Teradata or Db2 or Netezza or Oracle)
Able to talk to client directly and report to client/onsite
Flexibility to work on Night shifts
