Job Description

The Lead QA Automation Engineer will function as a hands-on facilitator and individual contributor for industry leading automated and manual testing solutions
As a mentor, will provide direction on testing best practices and subject matter expertise for Agile delivery teams
The person in this position will have strong knowledge of Selenium and similar products, and will apply practical knowledge and analysis in the effort to use testing the tools effectively and in accordance to the testing pyramid. Additionally, they will have experience coaching and mentoring other team members in this practice
Responsible for authoring and maintenance of automated test scripts for API and GUIs
Defines and executes mobile and web UI test automation strategies as a partner with business and development teams supporting in sprint test automation.
Responsible for creating, executing and maintaining new automated tests scenarios and data sets using Appium and Selenium utilizing Java and Cucumber.
Authors pointed and clear test plans and test cases
Manages the execution of automated tests
Works as part of an agile product team, to deliver quality automation aligned with each sprint.
Has enterprise understanding in test planning, including test data management, and test execution in a complex 200+ integrated application landscape, as well as testing with external parties.
REQUIREMENTS:

Previous, demonstrated experience functioning as a team mentor, responsible for coaching other team members in the test automation pyramid Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or C++ as a Lead QA Automation Engineer
Familiarity with automated testing tools for web-based GUI such as Selenium
Experience in Mobile testing: 1 or more years of demonstrated Mobile test automation experience using Appium, Perfecto, Experitest, Katalon, Ranorex, Telerik (test studio), Selenroid, Robotium or similar tools
Strong experience with API testing using SoapUI, RestAssured, Tricentis, Apigee, Tosca, Swagger or similar tools
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a SCRUM, Kanban or other Agile styles of software development
Strong knowledge of testing best practices
Strong root-cause analysis skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions.
Ability to partner with developers and business owners to triage and create defects.
