Job Description

We are working with a global law firm who is looking for a senior level HRIS Analyst. The HRIS Systems Analyst must have experience with PeopleSoft and have a deep understanding of the back end systems. The HRIS Analyst will s
erve as a seasoned functional business systems analyst for the global HRIS department providing ongoing analysis and support for global data, reporting and development needs for PeopleSoft HCM, ViDesktop and other HR systems.



Responsibilities:

• Plays a key role in providing business systems analysis "best practice” regarding usage, implementation and integration of all HR and HRIS systems

• Works collaboratively with global HR leaders and team members, global HRIS team and the global IT HR Systems Development team

• Drives development of HR systems tools in the department, works on system upgrades and conversions and HR process improvements

• Develops and writes complex reports, analyzes data for quality control and liaises with Global HR IT Systems Development team and HR system vendors to ensure accuracy and quality of data

• Understands the HR business needs to identify and evaluate and recommend HRIS solutions that will improve HR processes through current system enhancements or new system implementations

• Liaises with Global HR IT Systems Development team and HR department to develop and document requirements, ensures that requirements are communicated and understood by the IT team and that IT solutions fully meet the business requirements

• Documents requirements using standard functional specification templates in response to approved customizations and/or configuration updates

• Develops, documents and assists with executing test scenarios and scripts for all customizations and configuration

• Liaises with HRIT team members to clarify requirements for developing all technical specification documentation

• Coordinates and leads functional and user acceptance testing

• Recommends and develops global HR data audits to identify discrepancies and work to continually improve HR's data integrity and capability

• Manages user access rights, requests for changes to systems access and the alignment with the Firm's data privacy and security guidelines

• Participates in development of projects as assigned, including requirements gathering, analysis, software / platform selection, design, development, implementation, verification, integration, documentation, upgrades, monitoring and support

• Participates in the selection and maintenance of HR applications as assigned, including requirements gathering, analysis, software selection, implementation, integration, upgrades, documentation, vendor relationship, and monitoring and support

• Works with technical and end-user staff to analyze and trouble-shoot system errors and functionality issues in all applicable HR databases

• Runs processes within Payroll and HCM applications to update systems as necessary



Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job

• Oracle, ADP Training or certifications, strongly preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, required

• Prior work experience in a professional services organization and/or law firm setting, preferred

• Working knowledge of performance management and applicant tracking software, preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, required

• Minimum of five years of experience using PeopleSoft version 9.1 or higher, PeopleSoft Query, Microsoft Outlook, and Reporting, required

• Experience with complex reconciliation strategies and reporting, required

• Experience in supporting configuration in multiple areas such as core HCM, compensation, benefits administration, absence management, profile, talent & performance, learning & development, talent acquisition, and payroll/payroll interface, required

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to advanced functions, pivot tables, and XML templates, required

• Experience with large scale HCM system implementations/upgrades, required

• Experience with any of Base Benefits/BenAdmin, NA Payroll/Global Payroll/Payroll Interface, Absence Management, Profile, preferred

• ViDesktop performance management, preferred

• SQL, Visual Basic, HTML5 experience, preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors

• Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and a keen level of attention to detail

• Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment

• Strong organizational and time management skills, priority setting, and problem solving, especially when responding to unanticipated business requirements. Resilient and able to handle setbacks.

• Proven ability to effectively multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines accommodating shifting priorities
