Job Description

Identifies and acquires necessary data from multiple sources and extracts, cleans, transforms, and loads data sources to enhance data quality as part of analytics analysis to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
Clean data as part of analysis and then identifyand interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
Create scripts to enhance automation (RPA) within ETL processes, routine testing, or other business processes - through SQL or Python or leveraging Tableau/Tableau Prep, or other tools to creatively and efficiently tackle process challenges
Design visualization with Tableau to make interactive dashboards and toolkits for internal risk monitoring and business unit insights
Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues
Researches, plans and tests the effectiveness of controls in support of the external auditors - good opportunity to learn all aspects of the business
Support the effective usage of Analytics for existing day-to-day business analytic tools and the development of other tools/analytics for new business areas and opportunities
Ongoing collaboration with various business units to support advanced analytics for audit strategies
Identify new advanced analytic requests and new data sources for further evaluation
Partner with business partners to compile requirements for audit analytic solution expansion
Document and communicate status of projects and initiatives to senior team members
Acts as liaison with IT business partners to ensure full understanding of data flow, data integrity and system security. Assesses information technology control elements to mitigate IT risks regarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of business information
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, and 3+ years of related experience
Master's Degree preferred or a + (BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or other STEM field)
Familiarity with object oriented programming principles
Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (SQL & Python preferred)
Familiarity with some of the following python libraries/frameworks:

Pandas

NumPy

Selenium

SciPy

Scikit-learn

Matplotlib
Knowledge of Tableau, SQL and Oracle is preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy and ability to drive to completion
Ability to work independently, pursuing new business development and opportunities, reviewing and collaborating with senior leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact and engage with a diverse group (executives, managers, and subject matter experts)

Familiarity with predictive analytics techniques is a plus
