You'll be responsible for...
Installing, configuring, and maintaining corporate servers, server applications, corporate messaging systems, and maintaining documentation for servers
Building and maintaining relationships with outside vendors and departmental personnel by responding quickly and resolving problems
Conducting research on the latest technology
Providing resolutions for open systems environment and ensuring timeline and goals are being met
Working closely with the Manager of Systems Engineering
Directing and implementing activities that are related to Business Recovery, including improving server system recoverability model
Skills & experience needed for success...
Bachelor's degree is required in Computer Science, Math or related technical field or certification (MCITP, MCSE, VCP, or Linux)
6+ years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and supporting server related infrastructure and software
Hands on experience with Microsoft Active Directory required
Experience messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange required
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
Strong knowledge of large-scale deployment and managing storage area networks
Thorough understanding of current networking technologies, security administration, and backup & disaster recovery technologies and solutions
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Self-starter who can work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Working Linux knowledge preferred
Prior experience as a Windows Systems Engineer is a HUGE plus!
