Job Description

Design, develop and deploy innovative software solutions facilitate research capabilities, data analysis and reporting, learning and assessment, product development, or operational projects in an agile and collaborative environment
Work with units throughout to ensure smooth delivery of existing services and program modifications
Provide peer leadership and collaborate with Leads, team members and other development staff
Work with development team on implementation of new technologies
Maintain continuing awareness of relevant emerging technologies for possible application in technology environments
Recommend modification to existing processes and new procedures to solve complex problems considering the existing system limitations, operating time and desired results
Work with cross-functional team to incorporate end-user feedback into frequent iterations of and revisions to system designs
For developed applications and systems, work with peers, immediate management and project staff to develop technical specifications and test cases, confirm functionality/usability and provide general technical expertise and assistance
Proactive identification of gaps (especially across areas) and escalate in a timely and appropriate manner
Promote policies that foster quality standards and industry best practice
Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with additional coursework in management, information processing or a related field
May also possess a combination of education and relevant work experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be drawn
Relevant Years of Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible software development experience
Must have Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical):

Knowledge of server-side programming languages and frameworks such as Python, and working with open source libraries, with at least 2 year of experience
Experience in designing, developing and deploying web applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and knowledge with AWS services including, Lambda and DynamoDB
Experience developing complex applications in an agile environment as part of a multi-disciplinary, diverse team of developers, designers, product experts and strategists
Demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions that adhere to corporate business objectives
