Job Description

Typical Tasks Resource is to provide quality assurance testing support for the information sharing environment. Create and execute test plans and test cases based on user stories and technical design documents, escalate urgent issues to DEV leadership on a timely basis Identify gaps in functional requirements/specifications and suggest improvements
Create, execute and maintain automated test suites and tools with SoapUI automation framework. Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing. Report & Investigate issues with reproducible steps, screenshots, and relevant information. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and associated tools and experience with API testing.
* Strong Automation and Manual testing background, including writing test plans for new product features, executing test plans, report software bugs
* Understand the Complex Application architecture and develop test cases and automate them
* Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and identify existing or potential issues.
* Develop and execute automation tests for new and existing features.
* Set up, maintain, and perform test automation frameworks on Soap / REST Services using SoapUI Open source tool
* Maintain, improve, and expand the existing automation framework.
* Work with CI/CD to integrate automated tests into the deployment pipeline.
* Hands on experience on GIT, Jenkins
* Must be capable of troubleshooting complex software application problems
* Experience in writing complex sql queries for data migration
Provide knowledge transfer to County internal team members by leading knowledge transfer sessions.

Training and Experience:
Sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities.

The skills and knowledge that are required:
6 years of software, database scripting and application interface testing experience; in-depth knowledge of testing tools -- soap UI, postman.
* Test Engineer with strong technical aptitude in software testing.
* Software QA experience using Selenium, SoapUI, Java, groovy or Java Script to automate web-service testing
* Familiarity with testing tools including SoapUI, Postman, JMeter, API Test Automation:
* Preferred SoapUI Automation Framework
* Good level in SQL/database.

Relevant technologies: Microsoft SQL Server
* Experience with source code control and issue/defect tracking systems
* Familiar with integration API platform. Relevant technologies: Software AG Webmethods , TIBCO
* Knowledge of Restful web services, Soap web services, asynchronous communication and FTP related
* Works on a team following Agile sprints. Relevant technologies: JIRA, Rally , VSTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
On-Site Requirements: On-call help may be required. All work hours will be at billed at the same base rate regardless of the no of hours worked per billing people.
