Job Description

Master or PhD Degree in Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information System etc.
- 4+ years' hands-on experience designing and implementing data analytics in production using Java/ Python/ Retc on big data platform.
- 4+ years' hands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages such as Java, Linux, Apache, Open Street Map, D3.js and etc.
- Must be proficient in the use of different databases such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, TeraData, MS SQL Server, Oracle and etc.
- Data extraction/transformation/loading, data mining, and statistical modeling experience required.
- Strong analytical capabilities, creativity and critical thinking required
- Applied experience with machine learning on large datasets.
- Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data.
- Demonstrated skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
Good to have:
- Good telecommunications/ video industry knowledge.
- Knowledge or experience with customer care and support tools and metrics.
- Provide strategic and results-based insights across Telecommunication GNT/Video journeys with a focus on driving operational efficiencies.
- Distill information into actionable strategic insights from complex data sets.
- Comfortable speaking across various levels of leadership in order to convey complex ideas in an easy to understand way.
- Build complex predictive modeling and forecasting to provide guidance to key leadership and make informed business decisions, and monitor results of strategies.
- Visualize data through several Business Intelligence tools, including Splunk, QLIK, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot.
- Build web service API to support data analytics algorithms

You are a demonstrated leader who can effectively own and prioritize multiple work streams. You display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals, but are also comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You are able to partner across multiple business and technology teams. The ideal candidate should have strong e-commerce experience in quantitative customer journey/root cause analytics with attention to detail, adaptable to change and tight deadlines, and is focused on quality. Ability to mine, extract, transform, load large data sets, and create concise readouts and analysis based on the actionable insights found in the data.
