Expertise in all areas of data warehousing (architecture, data sourcing/acquisition, integration, transformation, presentation)Experience in logical and physical database design for data warehousing (3NF/Star Schemas) including SQL writing/tuning on MPP platforms such as Teradata and/or NetezzaExperience with SQL performance tuning and batch optimization to handle and process large volume of data in TeradataExpert knowledge of multiple Operating Systems server platforms (Redhat, CentOS, Microsoft OS, Solaris, AIX, AS/400, etc.)Proficient in Linux and Unix Shell scriptingStrong mathematical and problems solving skills with a keen eye for identifying trends and data anomaliesWorking knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lineage concepts is requiredExpert knowledge of Data Management Principles and Data Quality ImprovementExperience with Big Data processing frameworks such as MapReduce Spark, Yarn, HDFS, S3, KafkaAn expert understanding of infrastructure technologies and conceptsAbility to demonstrate lateral thinking required to solve complex technical problemsAbility to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and ability to learn new technology quicklyAbility to prepare clear and concise documentation for technical and business audiencesAbility to communicate in a clear and straightforward manner (written and verbal)Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneouslyAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyPreferred QualificationsTeradata certifications are big plusMicroStrategy or any other BI tool knowledge and experienceFamiliarity with predictive modeling tools like SAS and/or RFamiliarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark is a plus but not requiredExperience in cable or another telecommunications service provider is a plusFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFeWorking knowledge of a Business Process Management tool is a plusExperience working within an AWS environment a plus
