Job Description

Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SPLUNK, SolarWinds network tools)
Solid understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware and network operating systems
Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, and IOS.
Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, and routers.
Familiarity with communication and routing protocols.
Proficiency with coding languages including Python and Perl.
Dependable and flexible when necessary.
Network security experience.
LAN and WAN experience.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Two or more professional certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, CISSP, CISM, ISSAP)
7 to 10 years of experience in Network Engineer
5 to 7 years' experience as an Information Security Engineer
Solid expertise in Network and Security Architect, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Network Security and Application Security.
Demonstrated technical expertise in existing security and IT systems, and an ability to keep pace with changing security and IT technologies.
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
