Job Description

*2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, developing solutions for consumer banking, portfolio management, trading, compliance or wealth management

*Understanding of banking system and custodial and consumer banking operations

*Mastery of multiple programming languages. Node.js and/or Java experience preferred on the backend. Plus, MySQL and Mongo DB for databases.

Responsibilities:

*Participating in an environment rapidly transforming to the Agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with your teammates.

*Collaborating and contributing insights to solution design ideation, ensuring both the success of the product and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.

*Designing, modifying, developing and implementing software solutions. Building modern, architecturally sound components, tools and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals.

*Infusing quality of service characteristics, such as scalability, manageability and maintainability into distributed service-based framework to create or expand business or technical capabilities.

*Employing industry best practices to evaluate, correct and prevent vulnerabilities during the software development process.

Position: Java Full Stack developer

Duration: Long term contract

Location: Rhode Island (Initially REMOTE)

Required:

Experience building interactive web applications using a modern framework such as Angular (Preferred), React, or Vue
Back-end coding experience using JavaScript (Node.js)
Microservices and RESTful API experience
Understanding of Containers & Docker, ability to write Dockerfiles
SQL experience
Relational database Experience (Any of MySQL (preferred), Postgres, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
Document database experience: e.g. MongoDB
Algorithms & Optimization knowledge
Experience working in an Agile environment
Collaborative and open work ethic
5+ years or experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Definitely a Plus:
Coding experience in a modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or C++
Relational/ER Modeling Experience
Other databases experience e.g.: Redis, Cassandra, Hive, AWS Athena, AWS Aurora
ETL development experience
Cloud Platform experience - AWS (preferred) or Azure
Experience writing automated unit tests using frameworks such as Selenium, Jasmine, or Cucumber
